A set of 4 handmade wooden plates for a dinnerware set so unique, that it will be the most prized possession of your dinnerware collection. This dinnerware set of 4 comes with 2 wooden dinner plates and 2 wooden side plates. Each wooden plate is handmade from hardwood or patterned ply at the Woodgeek workshop by our maker, the first woodgeek. Our wooden plates come with an Italian food safe polish from ICA and are durable and safe for hot foods and most gravies (except turmeric).  

The rich dark look of the black sirish wooden plate, the clean white birchwood plate and the intricate pattern of our unique patterned plywood plate makes them perfect for food photography. If you’re a food blogger or amateur chef then you’ll love taking photos of food on our wooden plates.  

Each handmade wooden plate takes an hour to craft from a block of wood into a dinner plate or side plate. Our wooden plates are handmade at the woodgeek workshop by our maker, the first woodgeek. Here he shows us how a wooden plate is turned on the lathe, sanded and polished at the Woodgeek workshop.

• Set of 4 wooden plates. 2 dinner plates and 2 side plates.
  
• Made using hardwood - black sirish and birchwood, and patterned plywood.
• Wooden plates are durable and stronger than glass. 
• Finished with an Italian food safe varnish from ICA for protection
• Safe for hot food and most gravies (except turmeric) 
• Dinner plate sizes: Diameter - 10.5 - 11 inches approx; Weight - 250 gms / 0.55 lbs to 500 gms / 1.1 lbs depending upon wood type.
• Side plate sizes: Diameter - 7 inches approx; Weight - 100 gms / 0.22 lbs to 200 gms / 0.44 lbs depending upon wood type.

• Turmeric based food and gravies will leave a yellow stain on the wooden plates. This is a natural product and turmeric seeps into the wood grain and leaves a yellow stain.
  
• Do not put in a dishwasher, hand wash using soapy water and dry immediately. Do not leave it soaked in water in the sink for long periods of time.
• Do not put in a microwave. This is a natural wooden product and heating it in a microwave is not safe.
• Do not expose to harsh sunlight or under extreme heat for long periods of time.
  
• Keep dry. Store in a clean dry area.
